The 2nd Cheshire Tournament was held on 27th January 1985 at the Oakley Centre, part of the Victoria Community Centre, in Crewe.
It was attended by 34 players, slightly more than at the first. Richard Granville, 3 dan, won the Go Ban Trophy. Other prize winners were John Hall (7 kyu Monmouth), Peter Timmins, (9 kyu Crewe and Nantwich), and A. Marson (18 kyu Nottingham). Jim Metcalf (1 kyu) won a Candidates place.
