The Tokyo Transportation Museum used to be the first stop on any railway visit to Japan.
However it closed and the railway exhibits were moved to the new out of city
Railway Museum in 2007.
It was between Kanda and Ochanomizu stations in the centre of Tokyo.
The following locomotives were on display:
Yokohama 1, 9856, C57-135, "Benkei", "Zenko"
Plus the front/cab of D51-426 and cab of Shinkansen 21-25, and 3 Imperial cars and other stock.
In addition there were simulators, exhibits, a shop and cafe.
It also had galleries on motoring, aviation and shipping.
